Rocky Mountain Instrument Company

Call Rick Martin, Patent Attorney

Rocky Mountain Instrument Co., just recently had a successful private placement offering. This small Longmont firm, with a two-feet by two-feet engraver that can laser engrave a photo-like image on just about any material-metal, glass, plastic-has grown so much they’re breaking ground for an $8 million facility in Lafayette, Colorado that will employ hundreds. And just last quarter, RMI announced a second new laser-based product for the printing and medical industries. (The possible range of applications for these devices is astronomical.)

RMI’s impressive success illustrates how small-town business experts, like Martin, when teamed with home-grown businesses like Rocky Mountain Instrument Co., create new jobs and fuel the Front Range economy.
